Susan Crawshaw

Born and bred in Wanganui, I left school at 17 and  was lucky enough to have the opportunity to gain a hairdressing apprenticeship, this was three years of fun, learning and hard work and a job which ensured I could travel the world.

On my return from overseas I brought a hairdressing salon which I owned for eight years, during this time I married and had three children Hamish, Anna and Oliver.

Once my children were at school I was employed by The Wanganui Boys and Girls Gym Club where I started as the Coach and then became Manager of the Club.  During this time I also took some time off to study sport and fitness with UCOL.

In 2008-09 I was employed by Gymsport NZ as Project Manager on a 12 month contract funded by SPARC to work in collaboration with Three Sports Trusts.  This project involved the capability building of gymnastics clubs across three regions and delivery of a foundations skills program in schools.

Once my contract finished I decided it was time to look for a change in career, so when I received this amazing opportunity to become The Trades Facilitator for The Chamber of Commerce I was ready for the challenge.

In my spare time I enjoy my family, my exercise and just catching up with friends.
