Just under 100 business people turned out for a fantastic launch of the Massey University Wanganui Business Awards on 27th May, held at Training For You. There was a great atmosphere of energy and enthusiasm in the room.
 
We would like to acknowledge the support of the Wanganui Chronicle, the Radio Network and of course Massey University who have enabled this wonderful initiative, to give recognition to outstanding Wanganui businesses.
A working committee comprising Wanganui Chamber of Commerce members Philip Shackleton, Paula Wade, Mark Simmonds, Bronwyn Paul, Dr James Lockhart, Megan Wishnowsky, Donna Wallace, Sharon Caseley, plus past Supreme winners Denise Scott-Lister, Mike Bates and Michael Eden, have again been working hard to build on the success of the event.
Two new categories have been introduced this year, these are Management Excellence Award and Lean Manufacturing Award.
